They did this so I didn’t water grass with the salt from water softener. The salt will harm the grass.I suggest to enroll in the service plan as well. It covers all the filters, salt and service calls. It is worth the money.All in all I recommend going with Culligan Water System and the Elizabethtown Culligan Team.

We have used in home water softener and RO systems for 40 years. Never willing to invest in Culligan. We have gone thru appx 8 systems, and even tried salt free. Some worked better than others, true. However as we age we thought we should invest in more the assistance capability rather than the softener itself. We are truly pleased and surprised. We researched water softener’s for about six months and elected to go with Culligan. Yes, you can purchase these systems online, however, you do not get the local support, not to mention all of the negative reviews we have seen from these online retailers.
